Privacy
A closer look at privacy.
This page describes the current Findcub development build and this website. It is based on the application documentation, not a promise about unimplemented features.
Your local content
The application analyzes and searches local content on your Mac. Local files and search queries are not uploaded for inference. You choose the folders in the library; macOS permissions still apply.
The local index
The local index uses an encrypted database. Its key is stored in macOS Keychain. Clearing the index removes the index and rotates its key without deleting original files.
Network activity
Seeknetic account actions and downloading the local models contact online services. Optional cloud connections contact the platforms you authorize and download selected content for indexing on your Mac. Those platforms have their own privacy policies.
This website
This website has no analytics scripts, advertising pixels, account forms or server-side search. The interactive demonstration uses a fixed set of fictional sample files. It never reads files on your device. Your language preference is saved in your browser’s local storage. The hosting provider may process standard request logs.
Development status
Findcub is a 0.1 development preview. Some production security checks, platform integration tests and distribution validation remain in progress. This page should be reviewed whenever the application or website data practices change.
